A priority/sponsored listing is a business listing or general listing that is usually displayed above
all others on any given webpage. These first two slots of each search result are reserved for paying customers, granting
them the privilege of listing their own businesses above all others.
Priority listings can be found under the Business Listings section and the
General Listings section. In each section, there are 2 main types of priority listings:
- General Priority Listing
A general priority listing is a priority listing that's listed regardless of the search criteria. For the case of
both Business Listings & General Listings, this listing will occupy the first slot when users are performing a search
or browsing categories. Only 1 general priority listing slot exists per listing session for business listings and
another slot of general listings.
- Category Priority Listing
A category priority listing is a priority listing whose listing depends on the search criteria. For the case of both
Business Listings & General Listings, this listing will only occupy the second slot when users are browsing categories.
13 category priority listing slots exist for business listings (one for each business category), and 5 slots for
general listings (one for each general listing category).
