My Review of Yellow Chilli Bar & Restaurant by Hexgear
Posted at 11:24pm, Fri 26th August, '11 via mobile
Yellow Chili is a nice little Restaurant off Idejo Street on Victoria Island. It could easily pass for a nice little cottage in the residential part of the business-centric island, save for the bold Yellow Chili logo plastered across the front.
The interior is even more warm and homely; a true african kitchen with wood crafted tables, chairs, paintings and other furnishings. Almost like paying a visit to Grandma's house for Lunch. The restaurant has 2 floors and is divided into several sections.
We ate somewhere on the 1st floor. The menu is mostly made up of traditional Nigerian food with a hint of the continental. I usually play it safe first times so I tried a meal that consisted of jollof rice, king prawns and a host of other ingredients. The quality was fantastic and the quantity much.
The prices weren't bad but a bit on the high side, the kind of place you catch managers and company executives during lunch time. After all, Yellow Chili is popular for supplying big companies with meal packages for meetings and seminars for a reason.
